I was preaching to the people who came from all over Ethiopia for the Global Prayer Conference at Gobicho camp ground of Hosanna, three hours south of Addis Ababa. The 70% of the people were young people including children. I saw the hope of the Ethiopian church. The service went on for all morning almost four hours and all afternoon until the Sundown except the lunch hour, but these people sat the ground, praising more than a hour at a time, praying about 30 minutes, special music for another 30 minutes, preaching for an hour, praying for another 30 minutes and praising again for another 30 minutes, and then finally benediction to end. The sight was an unbelievable experience for me. We used to see something like that during the decades of 70s-80s in Korea. They had no watch nor schedule to follow. They told me to preach for an hour or so, but as the Holy Spirit leads, meaning up to me as I felt while preaching. I preached sometimes for an hour and more, at othet times 30-40 minutes which they felt too short. The people who led prayers were actually praying, praising, and preaching, all inter-mixed. People did not show their tiredness or boredom. I told them the Ethiopian Christians had a fruit of the Holy Spirit, patience and endurance, and they applaued loudly. I went there to help them spiritually, but I came away blessed. I felt that I had nothing to give to them who seemed to have more than I could give. The Ethiopian church will have a time of revivals, as I watched them.
